DRAW PRINT PROFIT

OUTCOMES

This project's largest outcome wasn’t just learning how to create a print-ready publication – it was also getting to experience holding a printed version of my work for the first time.

In addition to the publication, I also designed an A4 poster advertisement, a brochure and a bookmark to push the Draw Print Profit branding further. Each of these touchpoints also borrows elements created for the publication to ensure cohesiveness. While these outputs never got printed, they were formatted in CMYK and met print-ready standards.

After the publications were printed, I began selling the spare copies at conventions to continue helping beginner artists. I wanted to extend my reach beyond the constraints of a university assignment and inspire people to table by reducing doubt and confusion.

As of right now, I have sold 50% (or 12~ copies) of my Draw Print Profit books at local events.

Outside of receiving the physical book, this project was a vital learning point in my design journey. I deeply enjoyed the publication design process, much more so compared to other design mediums, which encouraged me to continue pursuing publication design via different projects.

The project also allowed me to interact with industry professionals and tour a printing house for the first time – increasing my insight and understanding for future design endeavours.
