FREMANTLE ARTS CENTRE WEBSITE

OUTCOMES

The completion of this project resulted in the creation of two fully responsive websites – one in HTML, and one hosted on a WordPress live server through PHP file transfer. Both websites incorporated animation, SEO words and a favicon.

Naturally, this project increased my web design skills and software fluency. Specifically, the development of the FAC website improved my understanding of Figma and HTML + CSS. While also teaching me vital UX + web design skills, such as HTML to PHP file conversion, Javascript + GSAP (animation) and essential user-centric design/research processes.

The largest outcomes of the project were:

  • Producing a unique, but fitting and effective, rebrand of Fremantle Art Centre’s concert series that preserves the venue’s historical roots whilst embracing the vibrancy of the present

  • Learning how to pick and seamlessly integrate SEO words into website pages to draw more user attention

  • Practising sensible user testing and human-centred research to create intuitive + appealing layouts
